Funding for Final Year Projects, in universities around the country.
To spur University innovation, Ignite has launched the 2019 edition of NGIRI, National Grassroots ICT Research Initiative, which provides funding for selected FYP, Final Year Projects, in universities around the country.

To date over 2,200 grants have been provided to final year undergraduate student teams, through universities, and these have been utilized to purchase hardware, software and other equipment required to build prototypes that address real world needs. While the program's core objective is to build practical technical skills and foster creativity, some prototypes have evolved into industry grade products.

This year over 150 universities with ICT departments are participating.
